SPE Event Policies
We’re excited to have you join us for our annual SPE TPO Global Automotive Conference and Exposition! To keep the experience fair, enjoyable, and valuable for everyone, we have a couple of important guidelines we ask all participants to follow.
SPE Event Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, partners, SPE staff, and volunteers at ANTEC® and its events, or any SPE event that is virtual or live – such as the annual SPE TPO Global Automotive Conference – are required to adhere to the following Code of Conduct: https://www.4spe.org/code-of-conduct/
Following a Code of Conduct allows SPE to create the best experience possible for all attendees. Event organizers will enforce this Code throughout the SPE events.
SPE Anti-Trust Policy
Our goal is to have a productive conference. However, we have attendees representing many companies, many of whom compete with one another. Therefore, it is important that we avoid any discussions or comments that may NOT be appropriate. We should strive to avoid even the appearance of any impropriety.
Additionally, speakers should not make recommendations, even if not company specific, on pricing, increasing or decreasing output, or making investments in a particular geography, product, or product category.
Please note that prohibited discussion topics apply equally to discussions that may occur during breaks, meals and during social activities.
For this conference, specifically, DO NOT, in fact or appearance, discuss or exchange information on:
- Individual company prices, price changes, discounts, allowances, credit terms, forecasting, etc.
- Individual company production plans, capacity, inventories, margins, profits, strategies, upcoming turnarounds, output, market strategies, investment plans, and the impact of general market conditions on these factors
- Individual company bids or contracts
- Matters relating to actual or potential individual suppliers/contractors or customers
- Non-public plans of individual companies and generally commercially sensitive information
- Rates, rate policies, and forecasted rates
No Suitcasing
To make sure Sponsor and Exhibitors get the visibility they’ve invested in, we ask that anyone who isn’t an official sponsor or exhibitor refrain from promoting their products or services inside the event space. This means:
- Please don’t hand out materials, samples, pitch services, or hold impromptu demonstrations unless you’re a registered Sponsor or Exhibitor.
- Feel free to network and make connections — that’s part of the fun — just keep commercial activities following SPE’s Antitrust
If someone is found actively soliciting their products or services without being a Sponsor or Exhibitor, our event staff will ask them to stop or, if needed, leave the event.
No Outboarding
We also want to ensure that the Conference Schedule and Sponsor/Exhibitor activities remain the main focus during event hours.
So we ask that companies:
- Avoid hosting off-site meetings, demos, receptions, or promotional events aimed at conference attendees unless they’ve been approved by event management.
- Keep any outside activities from overlapping with official event programming.
Unauthorized events that compete with the conference may result in removal from the event or limits on future participation.
Additionally, the annual SPE TPO Global Automotive Conference contracts all hotel venue meeting rooms and suites directly with the hotel. As always, we are happy to facilitate the use of these rooms for the beneficial use by our Sponsors and Exhibitors (prioritized by sponsorship level and assigned on a first-come/first serve basis). Availability communication, assignment and use of these assets is the responsibility of the SPE TPO Global Automotive Conference and subject to our policies.
Use of these venue meeting rooms and suites by companies or services that are not event Sponsors or Exhibitors is not allowed.

These guidelines help us create a positive, respectful environment where Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Attendees all get the most out of their time with us. Your cooperation helps keep the event vibrant, fair, and enjoyable for everyone.
